Deadline tracking is one of the most practically valuable features in Scholr — here's how to get the most out of it.

Adding a deadline

Set the deadline when creating or editing an application. The deadline field accepts any date. Once set, the application appears in the Upcoming deadlines panel on the dashboard, sorted by urgency.

Countdown display

The dashboard shows days remaining for each application with a deadline. At 30 days out, the nearest deadline also appears as a full-width strip at the top of the dashboard with a large day count. At 14 days the colour shifts to orange; at 7 days it turns red.

Keeping deadlines current

Program deadlines sometimes change — especially for rolling admissions programs. Check each program's portal for confirmed dates as you get within 60 days of submission. Update the deadline in Scholr if it changes.

Multiple deadlines in the same window

If you have several applications due within the same two-week window, the focus strip shows only the nearest one, but all appear in the deadlines panel sorted by urgency. Use the panel to plan your week — work backwards from each deadline to set personal milestones for completing materials.
